Awarded by Gault&Millau, she served the King of England, she served us at Căpițe, at the Musiu or at the Kibbutz, Alina Săftulescu comes down from the mountain with a bag full of goodies, from her own pantry or gathered from small local producers and farmers and comes to Taifas to celebrate Balkan gastronomy as a common cultural heritage.

A graduate of the Faculty of Industrial Chemistry and the Faculty of Arts and Design in Timișoara, Alina Săftulescu permanently left Timișoara, the city where she was born, to live quietly in the mountains, in Gărâna, with her husband. She left several projects (The Note, River Deck, La Căpițe, Musiu), cultural events and actions (Joie de Vivre festival, exhibitions, concerts, curatorial projects) in her hometown to open a gastronomic-cultural hub, Kibbutz, in Gărâna , where she fulfills and combines her two great passions: art and gastronomy.
